HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Become a Member

The Gold Canyon Arts Council needs the generous support of our members and community supporters to enable us to offer world-class performances at reasonable prices. Without the funds raised through memberships, donations, and grants it would not be possible to bring world class performers to our community and provide the Art and Music Education Outreach experiences, which are at the core of our mission.

Buy Season Tickets

Ticket sales comprise a significant part of the Arts Council’s annual revenues and directly offset the artists’ fees and other expenses associated with each concert or performance. Season tickets make sense even if one cannot or does not wish to attend every single concert as they can be given to friends and neighbors or to students and other young people for their musical enjoyment.

Become a Business Partner

The Gold Canyon Arts Council is proud to partner with local businesses to help fund our activities. While there are significant tangible benefits to business partnership with the GCAC, there are intangibles as well. By supporting the Arts Council your business will:

  • Help make our community a place where the performing arts are available and accessible to all;

  • Give our community, especially our children, opportunities to see and be inspired by performing artists;

  • Encourage our school-aged children to participate in educational opportunities with nationally acclaimed artists;

  • Make our valley an even better place to live and raise families; and

  • We encourage your business to consider supporting the GCAC at one of our tiered “Performance Sponsor” or “Donor” levels. Though we offer defined levels of business support, we encourage all businesses, at any dollar level, to partner with us and receive both the benefits of exposure to our wide-ranging audience and the appreciation of the community. We actively encourage our patrons to frequent our business donors and to thank them for helping make our community arts friendly.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of the Gold Canyon Arts Council!

  • On concert night, they staff both the “Front of the House” and “Back of the House;”

  • They staff the tables at Community Outreach events;

  • They write press releases and sweet talk editors into running our stories;

  • They design and place paid advertisements;

  • They work with Ray’s Printing on the development of brochures, the Canyon Sounds program, and the Gold Canyon Arts Festival program;

  • They coordinate with local schools to arrange for the visiting artists to work directly with students at local schools;

  • They attend the educational outreach programs at local schools, providing support for the artists as well as for the schools, and document activities and attendance;

  • They arrange and execute fundraising activities in the community;

  • Dozens of volunteers support the Gold Canyon Arts Festival. They mark and label the booth spaces, set up the stage and chairs for the entertainment, check-in artists, put up the GCAC tents, provide hospitality services for the artists; are gate greeters, handing out programs, counting attendees, and answering questions; and when the Festival is over, make sure the grounds are cleaned up and restored to their original condition.

Attend a Concert or the Gold Canyon Arts Festival

During the 2019 – 2020 Season, the Gold Canyon Arts Council will be sponsoring six concerts plus the Gold Canyon Arts Festival.
