John O'Conor Concert

Through his recitals, concerto appearances and critically acclaimed recordings, the Irish pianist John O’Conor has earned a reputation as a masterful interpreter of the Classic and Early Romantic piano repertoires. He has been praised for his formidable technique, mastery of keyboard color, and in particular his unique sound. He has been called a true ‘Poet of the Piano.’ O’Conor is regarded as one of the most important concert artists and piano teachers in the world today. He is Distinguished Artist in Residence, Professor of Music and Chair of the Piano Division at Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia, International Visiting Artist at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Visiting Professor at Showa University in Japan. He will present a Friday evening concert and on Saturday, a masterclass, and a lecture recital in cooperation with the Arizona Piano Institute.
